Participation in the "Meals on Wheels" Program is available to all homebound seniors, who might otherwise by unable to prepare nutritional meals. "Meals on Wheels" are prepared five days a week by Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands and distributed by a network of dedicated volunteers. Weekend meals are distributed on Fridays and holiday meals are delivered in advance. Arrangements may be made by directly contacting Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Island at 508-394-4630. It is the goal of the Meals on Wheels Program to promote senior nutrition by providing nutritionally balanced meals. The cost of both programs is a suggested donation of $2.00. Neither program is "means-tested".
